Conditions - Confidence Ratings

Overview: Learn how confidence ratings work on Page and how they help you prioritize your review.

What Are Confidence Ratings?

• Confidence ratings appear throughout Page on the client screen, conditions screen, and timeline screen. Each piece of information is rated as:
  • High confidence
  • Medium confidence
  • Low confidence

What Confidence Ratings Mean

• The majority of ratings are high confidence. High confidence means the information is 99%+ accurate, as defined by Page's detailed evaluation process and vetting by Page's internal head of VA Disability.
• Medium or low confidence does not mean something is wrong. The information is regularly correct. A medium or low rating typically means there is something about the source document — such as a complex table, old scan, or handwriting — that lowers Page's confidence in the accuracy of the extraction.

Modifying Confidence Ratings

• Confidence ratings are editable. Click on a confidence rating to change it. For example, if you review a low confidence entry and determine it's accurate, you can move it to high confidence. This is available on client, conditions, and timeline.

Why This Matters

• Confidence ratings help you save time by showing you where to focus your review. Instead of checking every single entry, you can prioritize medium and low confidence items and trust that high confidence items are accurate.
