Search
Overview: Learn how to use Search on Page to find keywords across your client's files with accuracy built for VA disability cases.
What Is Search?
- Search uses Page's OCR, which has been specifically tuned for VA disability cases, including tables, checkboxes, low-quality handwriting, and scans. This makes all of your files searchable so you can find individual keywords quickly.
- Search works like Control+F in Adobe, except you can search for multiple keywords at once, and it is much more accurate and comprehensive than a standard PDF reader.
Searching and Filtering
- Search for as many individual keywords as you want.
- Filter by File Groups or individual file types.
- Apply a Saved View to search by a pre-set combination of keywords and file types. Note that Saved Views are managed at an organization level — modifying or deleting them will impact your entire organization.
Jump to Date
- Use the jump to date feature to see all entries across the time frame of your search results. This allows you to jump directly to the section most relevant to you.
Viewing Search Results
- Click on any search result to pull up the file directly in the PDF Viewer.
- From the PDF Viewer, you can take a wide variety of actions to include that evidence in whatever Page surface you'd like, such as adding it to a condition, Case Plan, or timeline.
