How to generate summaries

Overview: After uploading files for the first time, you'll see a large blue-and-purple "Generate Summaries" button in the upper-right corner. Click it to generate your summaries.

How long does it take?

Summary generation usually takes about an hour. In some cases, it can take up to two hours. Rarely, some summaries require manual review, which may extend the process overnight.

Updating summaries after new uploads

When you upload new files, an "Update Summaries" button will appear. If the button is grayed out, no updates are needed.

Unrecognized files

Sometimes uploaded files can't be automatically classified. These will be flagged for you to resolve. Once you've handled them, the "Update Summaries" button will activate again.

After deleting or reclassifying files

If you delete files or change a file's type, click "Update Summaries" to reflect those changes in your summaries and AskPage.
